শ্রদ্ধেয় অতিরিক্ত আইজিপি রৌশন আরা বেগম, এনডিসি স্যার, রেক্টর- পুলিশ স্টাফ কলেজ, গতকাল সন্ধ্যায় কঙ্গোতে গাড়ি দুর্ঘটনায় ইন্তেকাল করেছেন। ইন্না লিল্লাহে ওয়া ইন্না ইলাইহে রাজিউন।

কঙ্গো মিশনে মেডেল প্যারেড এ অংশগ্রহণের উদ্দেশ্যে তিনি আগের দিন কঙ্গোতে পৌঁছান। দেশটির কিনশাসা নামক স্থানে স্থানীয় সময় রোববার সন্ধ্যা সাড়ে ৬টায় একটি লরির সঙ্গে ধাক্কা লেগে এ দুর্ঘটনা ঘটে। এতে রৌশন আরা বেগম স্যার কে বহনকারী গাড়ির চালকসহ বাকি দুইজন আহত হন। আহতদের মধ্যে পুলিশের এসপি (কমান্ডার) ফারজানাও রয়েছেন।

(On the evening of 05 May 2019, at around 18:45 one vehicle of BANFPU-1, Rotation-12 carrying the delegation who arrived Kinshasa on 04.5.2019 had an accident. The vehicle with registration no. UN70259 carrying 04 persons – Additional IGP of Bangladesh Begum Rowsan Ara, Commander of BANFPU-1, Rotation-12 Farjana Hossain, Driver Constable Habibur Rahman and second seater ASI Masum Ballah. The UN vehicle was seriously hit by a local truck with No. 0479AB/10; the driver of the truck that caused the accident ran away.
As a result, the leader of the delegation, Additional IGP of Bangladesh Begum Rowsan Ara was severely injured. The Commander of BANFPU-1, Rotation-12, Farjana Hossain was also injured. Immediately the Police Commissioner instructed that both be taken to the hospital for treatment.
Later it was confirmed that the Ban IGP who was the leader of the delegation passed away on the spot. Her dead body was put into the UN ambulance.
The Ban FPU Commander was seriously injured presently receiving treatment at the “Hopital Cinquantenaire, the Police Commissioner is there monitoring the situation.)
